Star ratings on grounding sheets are uniformly high, so they do not separate products. The brands' own specification and care pages do. This review compares six grounding sheets and pads on conductive material, coverage, wash rules, trial length and warranty, and explains why those five things predict how a sheet performs after the first month.
Why star ratings do not help here
Every product in this comparison shows a rating between 4.5 and 4.9 on its own page. GroundingWell lists 2,196 reviews and notes that some are from related products grouped together; The Grounding Co shows a 4.7 rating with 5,027 votes in one widget and 10,002 reviews in another; Earthing.com shows 442 reviews with 79% five-star and 4% one-star. None of that tells you what the sheet is made of or what happens to it in the wash. Specifications do.
What each brand says its product is made of
- Earthbound® Grounding Sheets: 95% organic cotton woven with 5% pure silver fiber.
- Earthbound® Grounding Mattress Pad: 75% breathable vegan leatherette, 25% conductive carbon fiber–graphene blend.
- GroundingWell™ Bedsheet: 95% organic cotton, 5% conductive silver woven fabric; one strip 104.3"×19.7".
- Earthing Harmony Grounding Sheets: organic cotton (95%) with silver fibers (5%).
- The Grounding Co Terra Grounding Bed Sheet: 95% organic premium cotton and 5% conductive silver woven fabric.
- Earthing® Mattress Cover: proprietary carbon-based grounding material.
Four of the six are the same recipe: 5% silver in cotton. The two carbon products are the outliers, and their care instructions show why.

What the reviews on each site actually complain about
Reading the lower-star reviews on the brands' own pages, the recurring themes are not about whether grounding works. They are about fit (fitted-sheet pockets slipping off deep mattresses — The Grounding Co lists 10–12 inch pockets, Earthing Harmony 12 inches), heat (one Earthing.com reviewer found the cover warm), and packaging. A pad that goes under your existing fitted sheet sidesteps the first problem because your own sheet does the fitting.

Materials: 75% Breathable Vegan Leatherette, 25% Conductive Carbon Fiber - Graphene Blend. Color: Black with breathable perforations. The surface is a soft vegan leatherette blended with conductive carbon fiber, BPA- and phthalate-free and dermatologically tested, so it's comfortable even for the most sensitive skin.
Care Information: Solvent-free wipe-down, occasional cold wash when needed. Will not degrade like silver.
Do I need bare skin contact? No. Near Field Earthing works through a layer of fabric like your fitted sheet or pajamas, so you can sleep normally and still stay grounded.
How do I set it up? Lay the pad under your fitted sheet, plug the grounding cord into a grounded wall outlet, and sleep. No apps, no charging, nothing to remember. A region-specific outlet adapter is included. FREE Outlet Tester included with every order.
Will it last? Yes. It is built from conductive carbon fiber, which will not oxidize or lose conductivity over time, unlike silver-thread products. It is a buy-it-once product, backed by a lifetime warranty.
Is it safe? The grounding cord includes a built-in 100k ohm resistor for safety. No electricity flows into the pad. Only the Earth's free electrons.
90-Day Money-Back Guarantee: Ground consistently for 30 nights. If you are not satisfied, you get a full refund for up to 90 days after delivery.
Shipping: Orders ship within 24–48 hours. Shipping is free on orders over $50, which includes every mattress pad. We ship only from tryearthbound.com — never through Amazon or other marketplaces.
Frequently asked questions
Do grounding sheets really work?
They do connect you to the outlet's ground, which you can verify with a multimeter. Research suggests grounded sleep may support sleep quality and may affect inflammation and stress markers; see the 20 studies on our research page. How much you notice varies person to person.
What do doctors say about grounding sheets?
Published reviews by physicians and researchers (for example Sinatra et al., Biomedical Journal, 2023, and Menigoz et al., EXPLORE, 2020) describe grounding as a potential anti-inflammatory and antioxidant intervention and call for larger trials. Ask your own physician, particularly if you have an implanted device.
Who should not use grounding sheets?
People with implanted electronic medical devices should ask a physician first. Anyone without a grounded outlet should use a grounding rod or have the outlet fixed before use. Test the outlet with the included tester before you plug in.
What are the cons of a grounding sheet?
Woven silver sheets need skin contact, careful washing (no bleach, softener or oils; often air-dry only) and have a stated lifespan of two to three years on several brands' pages. Fitted versions can slip on deep mattresses. A carbon pad under your own sheet avoids all three.
Which grounding sheet should I buy?
If you will follow a silver-care routine, any of the 5% silver sheets will ground you; compare trial and warranty. If you would rather wipe a surface and keep your own bedding, choose a carbon pad; the Earthbound® Grounding Mattress Pad lists a 90-night trial and lifetime warranty.
